This is my favorite hibachi spot in the Richmond-Metro area. The portions were crazy good! The amount of rice and veggies could feed three people per serving. I was stuffed by the end of the meal. The drinks and soup were superb and the service was spectacular. They really put on a show for my party. We had 12 people at dinner and everyone agreed they enjoyed it. For having 12 people the chef cooked very efficiently. The yum yum sauce was in point as well. The steak and chicken were cooked to perfection. The rice was very good and the veggies were soft. If you are looking for a good hibachi spot, this is the one to go to, great family friendly atmosphere and even better food!

I ordered to-go from this restaurant because my daughters wanted sushi. We wanted to grab an appetizer while we waited, but we couldn't sit due to low service staff. That's the only reason I would rate this place 4 out of 5. The server that took my order was attentive and patient. She got the entire order correct, even when my daughter, husband and I all got three sushi rolls each and boxed the correct rolls together for each person. I really appreciated how much time she spent with us making sure the order was just right. The ride home was about 20 minutes and everyone enjoyed their order! The portions for the hibachi were huge - my cousin got sushi hibachi and was genuinely surprised at how large the food was. Everyone had leftovers.

This place is usually a whole vibe! Depending on what day you go, you get the opportunity to have your meal prepared right in front of you. The portion sizes and performance makes the price pretty reasonable. I've enjoyed this place with both a large party and seating for two. Being able to order take out and have a lunch size portion (during lunchtime) is an absolute plus. Customer service is not consistent, however this has not divert me from enjoying my time here. Some drawbacks for people may be the "one check, one payment" rule they have in place. However, this was mentioned by each person over the phone when making each of our reservations, on their website, on their door, and by the waiter. So if you don't want to do "one check, one payment" then don't go with a group of people. The other downside could be being seated with random people who you possibly won't vibe with. Again this has never been a problem for me, however there are people who have not had the best experience. Overall this place is worth trying. With takeout or dine in you really can't lose. Very good food. They're named the same as another Japanese restaurant in the west end but not affiliated according to the waitress. I was pleased with the service and food. Started with sushi and it was pretty good. Prices were reasonable and the cook was entertaining.
